Take a few Basil Leaves, wash them and chew them everyday morning. Basil leaves are known for a wide range of therapeutic properties. It helps in preventing the infections in the throat and lungs, apart from strengthening the immune system.
This is also a commonly available medicinal herb. Take 1-foot long branch of this plant, add 5 to 6 leaves of Basil plant and boil them in water for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure that the water absorbs the extracts of these leaves. Add some black peppers, rock salt and crystallized sugar for taste. Allow it to cool a bit and take the drink while it is still lukewarm.
This drink will do wonders for improving your immunity. Processed powders of the leaves of this plant are also available in the market, but the natural leaves are more effective.
Take a small piece of camphor, almost the size of a tablet. Take this as medicine with water, at least once or twice in a month. Children can be given this medicine along with banana or mashed potatoes because they will find it difficult to eat the medicine. Make sure that you don’t take camphor every day, but only once a month or once a season.
If you can bear the pungent taste of garlic, you can take a few raw garlic cloves every morning. This will not only improve the immune system but will also aid in digestion, gastric problem and wide range of other health problems. Chew the raw garlic cloves or swallow them with lukewarm water.
Milk & Turmeric
Milk is good for the immune system and can strengthen bones and tissues. Take a glass of hot or lukewarm milk every day at night, before going to bed. Add a pinch of turmeric to the milk so as to enhance its taste and its health benefits.
Aloe vera is another natural plant which provides many health benefits. It is commonly available and can be easily grown, as it is a xerophytes plant. Take the gel extracts of its leaves with water every day. This will improve the immune system and will heal joint pains apart from improving skin tone.
Citrus fruits are also known for immunity boosting properties. Indian Gooseberry, orange, and lemon are vitamin C rich foods. You can take any of them, depending on your preferences. Take the juices of these citrus fruits or consume them directly for getting the direct benefit.
